HAMMOND, La. (WAFB/Gray News) – This may be one of the most amazing things you will ever witness in sports.
Chloe Larry launched an all-time game-winner at Parkway High School on Thursday night.
At the Division I Non-Select state semifinals in Louisiana, the Walker High School Wildcats were winning 63-61 against the Parkway High School Panthers. With just a few seconds remaining in overtime, the Wildcats shot two free throws but missed them both.
The Panthers came down with the rebound. Larry had the ball in her hands, took a couple of dribbles and then threw the basketball from behind the half-court line. The basketball went straight through the net, causing an explosion of fan reaction.
The Panthers won 64-63 against the Wildcats.
ESPN anchor Scott Van Pelt showcased Larry’s play in his “Best Thing I Saw Today” segment. The play also landed at the number one spot on SportsCenter’s Top 10.
