AKRON, Ohio – A Whiskey Deemed Worthy – a tasting of American whiskeys – is scheduled this month.
The tasting is 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 17, at Akron Civic Theatre.
Patrons can choose between four standard-serving-size pours or eight half pours.

Tastings from area restaurants will be available.
Attendees will receive a program booklet that walks them through the tasting experience and provides background information on all the featured spirits.
In addition to concerts and performances, the classic theater in downtown Akron holds several food and drink tastings throughout the year, including Pints & Pies, a fest featuring craft beer, pizza and savory pies in October; and Wine, Cheese and Chocolate, Darling! in February.
