An Ohio company is ranked on Fortune’s 2026 list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, and was the only one from the state to do so.
Progressive was Ohio’s sole representative on Fortune’s 2026 Best Companies to Work For list, which highlights organizations that the publication says excel in creating positive, inclusive and engaging work environments for employees. Produced annually, the list is based largely on confidential employee surveys conducted by Great Place To Work, measuring trust, fairness and workplace culture across various roles and demographics, with companies having positive experiences earning top rankings.

Ohio-based Progressive lands among Fortune’s top 20 best places to work
Based in Mayfield Village, a Cleveland suburb, Progressive ranked No. 19, and was the only Ohio‑headquartered company to make the list. With more than 65,000 employees, it has appeared on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list every year since 2018.
According to the surveys, 92% of Progressive employees say it is a great place to work compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company. One employee praised the company’s managers and culture, noting that Progressive employees “don’t just come to work to do their jobs,” but take time to support one another.
