Boulder County nonprofit Colorado Horse Rescue will present a screening of “Throw Away Horses,” a documentary about caring for neglected equines, at the Longmont Museum on Sunday.
The film covers the challenges that horses face when they become unwanted by breeders, horse racers and individual owners. Colorado Horse Rescue is featured in the documentary as an organization aiming to improve the lives of horses. After the screening, CHR’s chief executive officer Katherine Gregory will answer questions from the audience about the nonprofit.
