BATH TWP. – In addition to taking home artistic, handmade bowls, attendees at this year’s Empty Bowls benefit event at the Greater Lansing Food Bank got a firsthand look at how the organization provides food for the more than 106,500 people in need in its seven-county service area.
For the first time in its history, the 35th annual Empty Bowls benefit was held on Nov. 12 at the Bath Township distribution center.
Attendees got to see how the organization stores, moves and ships out food for those in need as well as learn more about special programs the food bank runs.
